Roja Dove Parfums1 creation

Roja Dove, born Roger Dove on 25 September 1956 in Sussex, South East England, is a British perfumer whose fragrances are sold at department stores worldwide. His interest in fragrance began in childhood, when the scent his mother wore as she kissed him goodnight lingered in his room, keeping the image of her cocktail dress alive long after she had gone. As a teenager, he spent his money on small bottles of scent, fascinated that such tiny containers could hold such an overwhelming effect. Dove went on to study medicine at the University of Cambridge, but a visit to the Guerlain boutique on the Champs-Elysees during his 21st birthday celebration proved to be a turning point. While at Cambridge, he began working at Joshua Taylor's department store in the Peacock male fashion boutique before ultimately leaving university to pursue a career in perfumery.

Dove's persistence in writing to classic French perfumers requesting information and experience eventually caught the attention of Robert Guerlain, who offered him a position. In 1981, Dove joined Guerlain's Training and Public Relations Department, where he began building his professional expertise. He remained with Guerlain for nearly twenty years, and after several years was appointed Global Ambassador, becoming the first non-Guerlain family member to hold the role. He earned the title "Professeur de Parfum" during his tenure. After two decades with Guerlain, Dove left to establish his own public relations firm, RDPR Limited, based in his hometown of Brighton, and later founded Roja Parfums. His notable creations under his own house include Ahlam, Britannia Jubilee Limited Edition, Beguiled, Apex Parfum, and Apex.
