Thierry Wasser
Thierry Wasser is a contemporary perfumer who has served as the in-house perfumer of Guerlain since his appointment in 2008. He trained at the Givaudan Perfumery School after attaining his Federal Diploma of Botany at the age of twenty. Wasser was promoted to perfumer at the age of twenty-four following a period of apprenticeship and joined Firmenich in 1993, where he collaborated extensively with Annick Menardo on numerous fragrances. Prior to his role at Guerlain, he worked under the fragrance firms Firmenich and Givaudan.
At Guerlain, Wasser has collaborated with Jean-Paul Guerlain in the creation of perfumes and has continued the legacy of one of the oldest and most prestigious perfume houses in the world. His notable creations include Bouquet de Paris and 190 Ans de Creation 1828-2018. Wasser has also contributed to preserving the Guerlain heritage by donating many of Jacques Guerlain's major works in their original form to the Osmotheque.
