Prada

The Italian luxury label Prada traces its beginnings to 1913, when Mario Prada and his brother Martino launched Fratelli Prada, a leather goods and luggage establishment in Milan. The business remained a family affair, passing from Mario to his daughter Luisa, and subsequently to granddaughter Miuccia Prada, who assumed control in 1978. Under Miuccia's stewardship, the company transformed into the globally influential fashion powerhouse it is today.
